Seven years ago we found a nice house with some land around it and that was the place to let our dreams come true..................

A nice place with a lot of animals thats what we wanted. When we came to live here we already had 2 cats (Sven and Bjorn) and 1 englisch bulldog (Sammy). But now we had more space so we could extend and so a second bulldog came to live with us(Megan)

After Megan we got some Gotlandpelssheeps and our horse Tjester.After that our goat (Mona)And ofcourse we had some baby's from the sheeps and the goat. So now we have 6 sheeps and 3 goats.

But my dream to have a donkey staid and so one day I came eye to eye with a miniature donkey and I tought thats what I want!

But than the real problems apaers! It isn't easy to find nice and good miniature donkeys and there are a lot of fake ones. People try to sell you a miniature donkey but that are just dwarf donkeys! Without papers or a pedigree. But after spending a lot of time on the internet, I find out that in Amerika there are a lot of good breeders. But to take them home...... woh that is expencive! So we decieded to look first in Europe. and after a while we found a really nice and good breeder in England and one in France. They had just what we wanted. So after a first visite in juni of 2005 we bought Orlando in Engeland and Nuance ,Roncette and Rapatout in France. Later that year in October we want back to France to get our three donkeys and Orlando was brought to us with a international horse transsport.

In the mean time we had to build a proper barn for the donkeys and Dick and I did that ourselve .Dick did most of the timber and I was responsble for the painting.And If i may say so it turn out very professional! (click on the photo to enlarge)

they are now a year and a half with us and they are doing very well! They speak the language and seem to like it here.......
